Clint Eastwood (playing the drifter, Joe) is an appropriate place to begin. By a curious coincidence, Sergio Leone’s first ‘Spaghetti Western’, Fistful of Dollars (Per un pugno di dollari), was released in Italy on 12th September 1964, two days before Queen Elizabeth signed the official charter to establish Lancaster University.
